Join Art Teacher Jenette for the Ballarat East Neighbourhood House Monday Drawing Group

Come along each week and work on art projects guided by Art Teacher, Jenette. Please bring along your own art supplies, food and drink. When restrictions allow, afternoon tea will be made available.


Drawing Group will meet at Eureka Hall, Stawell Street South, Eureka, on these Mondays in Term 1, 2022 from 1.00 pm - 3.00 pm:

Cost and Registration

Drawing Group costs $10 per person per session. Please pay cash on the day. If possible, please bring the correct change to minimise money handling.

Registration is required as there is a limit of 10 people for this activity. If you think you will be able to join Jenette for most of the term, please register for a Full Term pass. Payment will be collected at the start of each session. Please complete a separate registration per participant.

If you have any questions about registration, please contact the Ballarat East Neighbourhood House team. We are available during school term, 9.00 am - 5.00 pm Tuesdays and Fridays. We will be available remotely (by phone and email) from Tuesday 11 January 2022 and will be back in the office at Barkly Square from Tuesday 25 January 2022.

Vaccination requirements: It is a requirement of the Ballarat East Neighbourhood House that all people aged 12 and over are double vaccinated against COVID-19 or have a valid medical exemption to participate in this activity.

About Eureka Hall

Access to the Hall will be available from 10 minutes before the Drawing Group starts. As this will be the only activity taking place in the Hall at this time, for security reasons the external doors of the Hall may be locked at 1.00 pm to enable the activity to start on time. 

Location & getting there

Drawing Group is held in the smaller (north) room at Eureka Hall (104 Stawell Street South, Ballarat East). Please enter via the door on the Eureka Pool side of the Hall. If you are not able to access the Hall via this door due to the steps, Jenette will be able to open the door on the eastern side (Stawell Street South) for you.

Walking: The entrance for Eureka Hall's small hall is on the Eureka Pool side of the building.
Driving: You can park in the car park between Eureka Hall and the Eureka Pool, entry from Stawell Street South.
Bus: Catch either the Ballarat-Canadian Bus (Route 20) and hop off at Stop 35385 (Kline Street/Eureka Street) or the Ballarat-Brown Hill Bus (Route 15) and hop off at Stop 35379 (Eureka Stockade Memorial Park/Eureka Street). Walk along Stawell Street South to Eureka Hall.
Bicycle: Please secure your bicycle outside Eureka Hall.

Public toilets are available adjacent to Eureka Hall. There are no toilets inside the building.

Conditions of participation

  • Please read the Ballarat East Neighbourhood House Activity Terms and Conditions. You will be asked to agree to these upon registration for this class.
  • Bring your own drink bottle and food as there will be no access to the kitchen at this stage due to COVID-19 restrictions.
  • Please bring along your own materials to draw with.
  • All participants in Ballarat East Neighbourhood House activities must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. You will be asked to show proof of vaccination upon entry to each activity.
  • If you are feeling unwell and/or have cold/flu symptoms or have been in contact with a confirmed COVID-19 case, please do not come to the activity.
  • Carry a face mask. Check the Victorian Government's COVID-19 guidelines for face mask updates.
  • Please sanitise your hands upon entry to and exit from Eureka Hall. Hand sanitiser will be available.
  • Keep at least 1.5 metres from other people in the activity.
  • Arrive 5-10 minutes before the activity starts to allow time to complete any paperwork, which may include confirmation of your attendance for COVID-19 contact tracing purposes.
  • If you have any injuries or issues which may affect your ability to partipate fully in the activity, please arrive early and discuss with Jenette.
  • Turn off your phone/digital devices and store your possessions in the room.
  • A maximum of 10 participants will be able to take part in this activity.
  • Tickets are not transferable.
