Topic 1: Support at Home - Keeping Seniors Living at Home Longer
How to apply for a My Aged Care assessment
· What types of services you may be eligible for
· How to navigate the system and choose the right supports for your needs
· Where to turn for help with forms, referrals, and ongoing decisions
This presentation will give practical steps, guidance, and reassurance that people are not alone in the process.
When: Thursday March 4, 2026, 10.15am - 11.15am
Where: Find us in the Ballarat East Neighbourhood House Community Room #102 at Barkly Square. Head down the south hallway from the rear door near the cafe on the ground floor.
Who: Members of the general public who are seeking support and advice with navigating the aged care system, particularly with accessing supports to remain at home.
This education session is facilitated by Mecy Health, who's facilitators have specialist knowledge, skills and experience.
Cost: Free of charge.
Food/Drink: Our Kitchen Social Cafe is located on the ground floor of Barkly Square open from 8.30am to 2.30pm
